We are finally at HK airport again, after 4 days of Cerec training. Wouw, what a city!!! We are most impressed by the Chinese. There are 7 million people here, but everything is so well-organized and precise that it is really admirable. The dental offices we saw (4 of them) are not large but all are equipped with the very latest toys. A lot of care is placed on sterilization and hygiene. What surprises me most is the people... all are friendly and it is absolutely safe to travel even at the backroads at night. All are sleek & slim - but without doing any sports! They are moving & walking all the time, and the average age for a male is 78 and for a female is 84. It can´t be the genes as the city is multicultural, just like L.A. It must be because of the diet. Once you get used to eating natural Chinese food (which is totally different from what you get in our so-called Chinese restaurants) and especially the green Chinese tea your taste changes. After 2 days of this diet you start hating soda-pops! Nothing is processed, all food is fresh. People (and dentists!) are working 7 days a week, including saturday. Opening hours are often until 10 pm. But people take their time for extensive lunch & dinner. It´s a different but very interesting lifestyle. The dentists that I met are showing a high degree of clinical skills. They learned Cerec very quickly. About 70% of the girls here are true beauties, wearing the latest fashion clothing. Older people are still very active. You should visit one time... it´s a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Attached find a few photos!
